Saona Island – Scuba Diving and Snorkeling in a Tropical Paradise
Saona Island is arguably the most famous attraction in the Dominican Republic — and for good reason! The dives are world-class, and the beaches are truly paradise. This full-day excursion is perfect for both scuba divers and snorkelers coming from the Punta Cana and Bávaro areas. You'll enjoy a dive or snorkel at a shipwreck site, followed by a second dive at our favorite location: El Peñón. After diving, we head to Saona Island for a delicious lunch and some relaxing beach time.
Private and Personalized Saona Excursion
Our Saona Island diving excursion is completely private and tailored to your group. We only run this tour with a minimum of 4 people, ensuring personalized service and comfort throughout the day. The excursion is available any day, weather permitting. We depart from Punta Cana at 8:30 AM, and since it's a private experience, there’s no waiting for others. The drive to Bayahibe takes around 40 minutes, where we’ll board our boat and begin the adventure.
Wreck Dive, El Peñón, and Beach Lunch
Our first dive is at the Atlantic Princess shipwreck, a fascinating site full of marine life, and a great snorkeling spot for non-divers in the group. We then continue to El Peñón, one of the best dive sites in the Caribbean Sea, known for its remote location and low traffic—ideal for both scuba diving and snorkeling. After diving, we head to one of Saona Island’s seven beaches, where a private buffet lunch awaits exclusively for your group. After lunch, enjoy free time to relax on the stunning beach, and on our return, we’ll stop at the natural pool to admire the starfish in crystal-clear waters.
