Diving Experiences in Punta Cana for Every Level

Whether you have never tried scuba diving before or you are a certified diver with dozens of logged dives, Grand Bay of the Sea has an experience designed for you.

First time diving?

Our Discover Scuba Diving program gets you underwater the same day — no certification required. You will complete a short briefing with one of our PADI instructors before heading into the warm Caribbean water for an open-water dive. No experience, no problem.

Certified diver?

Our local two-tank dives visit Punta Cana's best reef and wreck sites, including the St. George shipwreck and Shark Point — where encounters with nurse sharks and Caribbean reef sharks are a regular part of the dive. For a full-day adventure, our Catalina Island trip combines diving, snorkeling, and a relaxed Caribbean island experience with lunch and drinks included.

Want your PADI certification?

We offer the full range of PADI courses in Punta Cana — from Open Water and Scuba Diver for beginners to Advanced Open Water for those ready to go deeper. All courses are taught in small groups by experienced multilingual instructors in English, Spanish, and French.

Punta Cana's warm, calm waters and year-round visibility of 15–25 meters make it one of the most accessible and rewarding dive destinations in the Caribbean — and one of the best places in the world to earn your first certification.

Why Divers Choose Grand Bay of the Sea

Punta Cana has several dive operators. Here is what sets Grand Bay of the Sea apart.

Small groups

We keep our groups small deliberately. Smaller groups mean more time underwater, more personalized attention from your instructor or divemaster, and a better overall experience — whether you are on your first dive or your hundredth.

Local knowledge

Our team has been diving these waters for over 15 years. We know which sites are diving best on any given day, how conditions change seasonally, and where to find the marine life that makes Punta Cana's reefs worth exploring. That local knowledge is something no larger operation can replicate.

Professional, multilingual staff

Our PADI-certified instructors and divemasters speak English, Spanish, and French — so whether you are traveling from North America, Europe, or Latin America, you will always be briefed and guided in your own language.

Transparent pricing. No surprises

Everything is clear before you book — what is included, what the deposit covers, and what you pay on the day. Hotel transport is included for guests staying in the main Bávaro resort area. If you are staying in Uvero Alto, Cap Cana, or Punta Cana Resort, an additional transport fee applies — just let us know where you are staying when you get in touch and we will confirm the cost upfront.

Ready to dive? Use the contact form below to tell us your dates, where you are staying, and what experience you are interested in. We will get back to you within a few hours with everything you need to confirm your booking.
