Rock City features depths ranging from 5 meters (17 feet) to 16 meters (53 feet), thanks to the formation of natural canyons within the reef. These unique geological features also help keep the beach at Cabeza de Toro calm and protected. Weaving through the canyons feels like flying down underwater streets — walls rise on either side of you, decorated with hard corals and sponges that shelter snappers, grunts, and the occasional lobster tucked into the crevices. When conditions allow, Rock City becomes an exceptional site for drift diving — offering a truly memorable underwater experience. The varied depth range makes it a great fit for newly certified divers on the shallower terraces and for more experienced divers exploring the deeper canyon floors.
